MALL DAZE : Bestie Balance
"KEEP TRACK OF THE SMALL THINGS AND FIND THE BESTIE BALANCE"
A tiny game made originally in 48hrs for Girly Game Jam #3 (1/2) & (2/2) with the theme "The small Things" and NaNoRenO 2026
GOAL:
- Left-Click "YES" or "NO"
- Hovering over "YES" or "NO" buttons will show which STATS are affected
- Mind your mental health, Don't lose all your money, Be the Best Bestie
- You have 2 WEEKS to pass the VIBE CHECK
MAJOR UPDATE (3/24/26-3/30/26):
- 7 TOTALLY RAD ENDINGS
- HINT: maxed out bar after the last day and/or if any bar falls TOO LOW trigger endings
- VARIOUS VIBE CHECK RANKINGS
- Scenarios that are pseudo-random
- LOTS MORE STUFF TO CLICK
- Additional visual and audio feedback from interactions
- An UNFINISHED drag-&-drop sticker/dress-up section
- You can play the original release (3/13/26) by clicking "BETA" in the start menu
- And...A LEADERBOARD?
KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES:
- Mozilla has weird text format issues
- Doesn't work on mobile (probably? I know the music doesn't)
- Tried to reuse and remix ideas I've used in past projects
CREDITS:
- Music : Kim Light Year and ambience bits from Mixkit
- Art: all the doodles and art were done by a very sleep deprived ME except for the resource bar and the buttons from GDEVELOP
- SFX: little beeps and bops also from Mixkit

I absolutely loved this game! I got broke the first two tries >.< it really makes you think who are truly your friends or who wants to just take advantage of you, I love the options and animations!!

A very endearing concept that's fantastically executed! Played this several times and had a lot of fun trying to balance my money, mental health, and the bestie points, and I loved how much character was shown in the bestie's writing with just a few lines of dialogue! Wonderfully done :]

This was so much fun! I love the concept and I feel like the end product is very polished. Can really tell you worked hard for the second submission. I could not, for the life of me, seem to be a good bestie. Had to play multiple times to figure it out. Such a great game, congratulations!

very interesting and well executed idea! it wasn't obvious to me how the stats were affected by my answers until i read the description, but that was probably more on me since it seems pretty clear in hindsight lol. i did manage to get both the good and bad ending!
Oh wow, thanks for playing enough to still get both endings! I really wanted to spend more time making them more satisfying BUT I was short on time. I also agree that I could've done a better job explaining how stats were affected IN GAME...soooo that's going on the list of things to add/fix during the next part of the jam!
